Produced in small volumes in Newton, Iowa, Maytag blue cheese is a cow's milk cheese with a crumbly texture and a very spicy flavor. It is acclaimed by cheese experts and food editors as America's finest blue cheese. Since 1941 each wheel is still made by hand and put to age in Maytag's caves. Pairs well with a Sauternes or White Bordeaux Wine.
